Loneliness

Loneliness is commonly regarded as a negative emotion and it means different things to different people at different times. It is a sadness which can occur when one has no friends or company, or when they feel isolated.   Being alone does not necessarily lead to feelings of loneliness. Equally, someone can feel lonely even when they are in company.

Feeling lonely can happen at any age and for a variety of reasons including: the break-up of a relationship, bereavement, depression, social anxiety, shyness, single parenthood, moving to a new area.

Coaching, hypnotherapy and NLP can help to address underlying issues (e.g. lack of confidence, social anxiety), build social and communication skills and look at different ways to change such as meeting people and building friendships.
