‘The human brain starts working the moment you are born and never stops until you stand up to speak in public.’ – George Jessel
Glossophobia is the word for the fear of public speaking. Whether it is addressing an audience of five or five thousand the feelings can be the same. Symptoms can include sweating, dryness of the mouth, trembling, nausea, pounding/racing heart. Often those with the fear pf public speaking will do everything in their power to avoid the situation altogether. The fear, fed by negative thoughts on an unconscious level, is irrational and illogical.
Coaching, hypnotherapy and NLP techniques are used to help you to change your experience of public speaking to be more comfortable and even pleasant.
